Specials and Closures for this March Snow Day

D.C. snow days: not just for February anymore. The federal government is closed, and restaurants are mobilizing with specials on hot cocktails, all-day-happy-hours and more. Here's a list of closures, delays and deals that Eater will update throughout the day.

*Agua 301 has $2.50 tacos, $5 margaritas and $3.50 Coronas today.

*Tryst, The Coupe and all affiliated restaurants will have hot cocktails on special starting at 10 a.m. They include mulled wine-with brandy ($8), a bourbon-spiked chai ($10) and a Julep Toddy ($9).

*Trademark in Alexandria is serving its brunch menu until 2 p.m. and also will offer $5 draft beers and house wines and a $7 grilled cheese and tomato soup combo.

*Range has wine specials, $8 pizzas, half off raw bar menu items and half off salumeria.

*Firefly will offer its Cadillac grilled cheese and soup of the day for $5 (add beer or Bulleit and it's $10) starting at 4 p.m.

*Get $15 glasses of Veuve Clicquot at Poste.

*Jackson 20 will offer brunch all day 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and happy hour will begin at 11 a.m.

*BRABO Tasting Room will offer its "Magnum Hour" happy hour all day for the snow. a magnum wine will be on special throughout the day.

*Urbana will offer $5 pizzas and two snow day cocktails (a spiked hot chocolate and an amaro punch) for $7.

*It's all day happy hour at Joe's Seafood, which means half priced oysters, half priced beer and more.

*Meridian Pint is opening at 10 a.m. today for brunch, with the downstairs bar opening at noon. There is free hot chocolate for kids, too.

*America Eats Tavern is giving away complimentary butternut squash or cream of mushroom soup with order of a sandwich.

*China Chilcano: Anyone who mentions "snow day specials" can get a complimentary China Chilcano namesake cocktail.

*Jaleo DC is offering hot chocolate with olive oil tortas for $5.

*Jaleo Crystal City is offering a free grilled cheese flauta with purchase of a draft beer.

*Jaleo Bethesda is buy one lunch sandwich special, get one free. They also have half-priced bottles of wine.

*Oyamel is offering half priced bottles of wine if the diner mentions "snow day specials," as well as a margarita, soup and Mexican hot chocolate combo for $12.

*Dino's Grotto has free mugs of soup, $6 hot toddys and an all-night happy hour, starting at 5.

*The Black Squirrel is kicking off burger night at noon today.

*Restaurant Eve will offer $1 off diners' tabs for every inch of snow that falls.

*Alba Osteria has all-night happy hour.

*A&D bar has $10 shot and a beer combos, $8 boozy Mexican hot chocolates and $8 hot toddies.

*It's all day happy hour at Takorean with $4 craft beers. UPDATE: They're now closing at 3.

*The Pig will offer $5 bourbon flights (normally $8), a $4 per pour for any of the bourbons featured in the flight, and $6 burgers.

*Logan Tavern will offer happy hour all day at the bar and community table.

*Grillfish will have happy hour $6 draft beers and $1 local oysters available all day until 7 p.m.

*Commissary will play movies on the projector all day. They'll also have half off hot cocktails, $4 spiked chocolates, $4 Natty Boh and a whiskey shot and $5 veggie and beef burgers.

*Clyde's Mark Center, Tower Oaks, Columbia and Chevy Chase have half priced burgers. Chevy Chase is serving the late night menu only, and Columbia has a limited menu and happy hour specials.

*701 Restaurant will be offering hot classic cocktails including hot toddy, Irish coffee, etc. alongside their regular happy hour menu for dinner service this evening.

*J.Paul's has happy hour all day, which includes $5 appetizers and 23 ounce drafts.

*Old Glory is offering half price chili all day.

*Mio Restaurant will be offering happy hour all day. Guests can enjoy select house drinks, house wines and draft beer price offered at $5 each, as well as snacks for half price.

*Hawk n Dove has a $5 soup of the day, $5 hot drinks, $5 wine and rail drinks and $4 Miller Lite.

*Willie's Brew & Que has all day happy hour with $5 wine, rails, tequila shots and $4 Miller Light, plus food deals like a $6 taco of the day.

*Rio's California Pizza Kitchen is giving away a free small plate with any purchase. Joe's Crab Shack in the development also is offering a free appetizer with an entree purchase at lunch. Nando's is offering 20 percent off checks all day, and Cafe Deluxe at Rio has an all day happy hour as well.

*ENO Wine Bar is offering extended Happy Hour with $5 wine on tap and $5 beer from 5-8 p.m.. They'll also offer 50% off all wines by the glass from 7-8 p.m.
