AMP, the new music venue at Pike & Rose operated by the Strathmore, will open its doors this weekend.

Neighborhood Restaurant Group is handling the food for the venue. They're going to be serving such items as chicken pot pie casserole, pimento cheese spread, tater tots and more, with a wine and cocktail list to match courtesy of NRG's Brent Kroll, Greg Engert and Jeff Faile. Jennifer Crovato, a Silver Spring native behind the cookbook Olive Oil, Sea Salt & Pepper, developed the menu. Crovato has worked under chef Roberto Donna and for several other restaurants, as well as in the catering and private chef arenas.

It's a $250 million, 4,000 square foot venue (here's the schedule of upcoming performances). They plan to hold 144 concerts per year, with acts like Toshi Reagon and Allison Miller kicking things off.

Neighborhood Restaurant Group is also opening a beer garden at Pike & Rose later this year. Here are the menus for AMP.
