The snow has stopped, but D.C.'s still buried under it. Several schools are closed and the D.C. government is opening late. Will restaurants follow suit? Eater will keep an eye out for closings and specials throughout the day — here's what's happening so far:
Closings/Delays:
*Uprising Muffins is opening late, aiming for an 8 a.m. opening.
*The Dairy Godmother is closed today and plans to reopen tomorrow.
Specials:
*Hawk n Dove has a $5 soup of the day, $5 hot drinks, $5 wine and rail drinks and $4 Miller Lite.
*Willie's Brew & Que has all day happy hour with $5 wine, rails, tequila shots and $4Miller Light, plus food deals like a $6 taco of the day.
*Molly Malone's has $6 Irish and Baileys coffees, hot toddys and vanilla vodka-spiked hot chocolate.
*701 Restaurant is offering $7 You-Call-It on select liquors and $7 cocktail flight on their Filibuster oak aged cocktails from 3-7 p.m.
*The Star & Shamrock will be offering $5 Hot Toddies to go along with their Friday Fish Fry.
*Cuba Libre is offering all day happy hour all day today at the bar (drinks only). Guests have to mention "Frozen Havana" to get it.
*Water and Wall is having a Lunch Happy Hour with $5 red, white, and sparkling wine and beer selections.
*2941 Restaurant is offering a $10 All American Burger or Greek Turkey Burger (with fries or salad and a soda or iced tea). They're also bringing back their date night special this evening for $68 per person (five courses).
*Kids Eat Free at Pizzeria Orso today at lunch and dinner.
*Irish Times has $3 Natty Bohs, $3.50 PBR Tall Boys and $5 Irish Coffees during snow.
