The original Beau Thai location in Shaw will transform to BKK Cookshop, come May.
The plan for 1700 New Jersey Ave. NW is to showcase the international influences on Thai cooking. Aschara Vigsittaboot has spent two years working on the menu, including multiple trips to Thailand for research, according to a press release.
Expect dishes like Chinese steamed buns, pomello salad, grilled meatballs, Thai chicken wings and both rice and noodle dishes. Beverages will include Asian draft beer, wines, sakes and a few cocktails. The owners will remodel the restaurant, too.
Beau Thai relocated to a large space in Shaw late last year.
