FARRAGUT SQUARE—Equinox created a vegan version of Spike Mendelsohn's Prez Obama burger and called it the FLOTUSBurger. It's made with beans, quinoa and smoked walnuts and topped with shitake "bacon" and blue "cheese" crumbles made from tofu. The FLOTUSBurger is only on the lunch menu until the end of the month. CLARENDON—Hunan Number One was involved in a national news story thanks to ESPN reporter Britt McHenry, whose videotaped tirade against a towing company employee went viral. McHenry threw a fit after her car was towed after she dined at Hunan One on Wilson Boulevard. [Washingtonian]

NAVY YARD—PoPville posted a photo of Justin’s Cafe's closure due to liquor license suspension, but the owner of Justin's Cafe tells Eater there was a miscommunication with the renewal of the liquor license, and all is well now. The cafe is celebrating its five year anniversary since opening in the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood.
