Jay's Saloon in Clarendon will close its doors after 22 years in business.
A kitchen staff member confirmed the impending closure to Eater Wednesday. The bar is known for $8 pitchers of beer during happy hour and half price burger Tuesdays. The last night of service will be May 18, according to a report from ARLNOW.
The closure had been looming for some time. The building, located at 3114 10th Street North, will be demolished to make way for a mixed-use residential, retail and office space development. The memorabilia on the walls at Jay's Saloon will be sold at auction closer to the date of the closure.
