1) DUPONT CIRCLE: It's opening day for the new Pizza Studio in Dupont Circle. This is the second fast-casual pizza option to open in the neighborhood in recent weeks. The restaurant plans to give away free pizza from 11-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. today.
The restaurant allows customers to design their own 11-inch pizza from a choice of 35 ingredients. They're also known for displaying local artwork on the walls. 2) ADAMS MORGAN: Napoleon Bistro is transforming into Lapis Afghan Bistro tonight. The ownership is the same, but the new restaurant will feature Afghan recipes from the family: mother Shamim Popal will serve as executive chef. Think flatbreads, dumplings, stews and kabobs.
