Flying Dog Will Debut Sriracha Pale Ale June 1

Sriracha + beer = delicious?

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Flying Dog doesn't shy away from putting unique ingredients in its beer. The latest: that spicy sauce with a cult following, sriracha.

The Frederick brewery announced on Twitter today that its Sriracha Pale Ale will debut June 1. The beer will be available in Maryland, D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey and NYC.

The beer has been in the works since at least August, when Flying Dog revealed it would be part of its Brewhouse Rarities series this year. For those beers, anyone on staff (no matter the department) can pitch ideas to the brewery, explained a spokeswoman.

Flying Dog is also the brewery behind the uber-popular Dead Rise ale, made with Old Bay. They're working on an even spicier version of it this year.
