Today's the opening day for Maki Shop, the new sushi place from former Kushi owner Darren Lee Norris. Norris and the Maki Shop team have been ready to open for awhile, but they've been waiting for the word from the District to open the doors.
The 15-seat restaurant at 1522 14th St. NW will sell 15 varieties of sushi, made with the help of sushi rolling machines. Maki Shop will also sell healthy drinks from Jrink Juicery and Capital Kombucha.
