Boston's Michael Schlow already has plans for a second restaurant in D.C., following the success of last year's Tico.

The Riggsby will open this summer in the revamped Carlyle Suites Hotel in Dupont Circle, Tim Carman reports. Schlow is working with chef Philippe Reininger, formerly of J&G Steakhouse, on the project. Expect comforting dishes like roast chicken and French fries, as well as a big skylight and wallpaper designed by Schlow's wife, Adrienne Schlow (an artist who also worked on Tico). Edit Lab at Streetsense is also working on the space.

UPDATE: According to a press release, The Riggsby will have seating in the bar for 40 guests, with 75 seats in the dining room (plus a 10-seat private dining area). The bar will emphasize classic cocktails and wine by the glass. They'll serve breakfast, lunch and dinner there.

The Riggsby is named for the Riggs Bank that used to operate in Washington. It could open as soon as May.
