Tom Sietsema is traveling the country this year "searching for America's top food cities." The Washington Post revealed the first package in the ongoing series today.

First up is Charleston, S.C., where Sietsema visited such restaurants as Artisan Meat Share, the Bar at Husk and Bertha's Kitchen.

The project (which sounds similar to Eater's National 38 by roving critic Bill Addison) will involve visits to ten cities over the next year. It is one of the first nationally-focused food projects for the D.C. paper.
