All the bells and whistles are coming to Crumbs & Whiskers.

It wasn't a question as to whether Crumbs & Whiskers, the upcoming cat cafe that aims to be the first in the Washington region, would meet its Kickstarter goal. Crumbs & Whiskers did that in less than 24 hours. After raising their $15,000 funding goal, the money kept coming in on Kickstarter. UPDATE: The total amount raised was $35,881.

That's more than founder Kanchan Singh anticipated even as a stretch goal, meaning Crumbs & Whiskers has enough funds for everything on its Kickstarter wishlist. The Georgetown cat cafe just obtained zoning approval and with the money raised, Crumbs & Whiskers can now get outfitted with "two awesome custom cat towers, a cat barrier/double door system, two large fun wall shelf unit for cat play, cat beds, cat toys, cat accessories, super comfy floor cushion seating, and a cat wheel."

The dream is real.
