This will be the first D.C. location for the steakhouse chain, which is headquartered in Houston.

Mastro’s Steakhouse is slated to open its doors in May at 600 13th St. NW, located just east of the White House. This will be the first D.C. location for the Mastro's chain, and the 13th restaurant overall. The upscale steakhouse will occupy a two-level, 14,000 square foot space, and will offer live entertainment at an upstairs bar seven nights a week.

The D.C. outpost of Mastro's decor will incorporate nods to Washington, a press release notes. And if it looks like other Mastro's locations, expect white tablecloths, dramatic lighting and dark wood everywhere. No word in the press release as to the menu, but the Mastro's in New York offers sushi in addition to steakhouse classics like warm spinach salad, bone-in ribeye and garlic mashed potatoes.
