It's been some time now since RPM Italian announced plans to open its doors in D.C.
A spokesman for the restaurant group, which is part of the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises group of restaurants, said an opening could happen as early as this fall, though there is no official opening date set yet. RPM Italian is headed to 601 Massachusetts Ave. NW.
Owners Bill and Giuliana Rancic have an entertainment background (he was on The Apprentice; she's an entertainment television host); other partners in the restaurant include Chef Doug Psaltis, and RJ, Jerrod and Molly Melman. The restaurant tends to be popular with celebrities. Antipasti, steaks and pastas are among the menu items there.
