The space that used to house a Public Bar location in Tenleytown is under new ownership, with a new name and feel.
Tenley Gastropub is now operating at 4611 41st St. NW. The owners are chef Michele Lisi and wife Maragrita Lisi. The menu is online.
The restaurant is going for a fancier food vibe than the previous tenant, with dishes like bacon-wrapped dates and polenta with meatballs. Beyond one bartender, the staff is entirely different. "We wanted a fresh start," said a spokesperson. They'll still show sports games, though, and offer a traditional and late night happy hour.
