David Dunlap, the chef at The Ashby Inn and Restaurant and a veteran of the Inn at Little Washington and Plume, is leaving for a new opportunity in Richmond. His last day will be at the end of the month, reports Northern Virginia Magazine.
He surprised L-n-L Hospitality Group, the company that owns the inn, when he gave his notice about three weeks ago. Dunlap remains secretive about the details of his new job but hinted that he'll have more control over the food than he currently does.
Dunlap replaced Tarver King in 2013 when the acclaimed chef left to work at the Restaurant at Patowmack Farm.
