The team behind Maddy's and Maddy's Tap Room are looking to open Macintyre's in Woodley Park this fall.
An early June opening is in the works, according to the company's Jay Davis. They'll serve American pub fare, with many options coming from a wood-burning grille. There will be 14 beers on draft as well as bottles, cans and a full bar. Chef Brendan Tharp has worked under such chefs as Baltimore's Cindy Wolf and Richard Blais in San Diego.
The hangout will have seven 60 inch plasma television for sporting events, too. They'll start off with dinner and happy hour, and eventually add lunch, brunch and maybe even breakfast.
"The goal of Macintyre's is to be the go to local neighborhood bar and restaurant," Davis said via email. "We aim to be a casual place for long time Woodley Park residents to rub elbows with conference goers and tourist alike."
