ARLNOW brings word of two more restaurant closures in Shirlington. The owner of Bungalow Sports Grill plans to close next month. Bonsai Grill has also been locked up and closed.
The pair of restaurants join others that have closed in recent months, list that includes Aladdin's Eatery, Cakelove and The Curious Grape, as well as some retail shops. Eateries are seeing sluggish sales and less foot traffic, according to the report; some cite landlord issues as well.
There are some new projects in the works, though, including Hawaiian restaurant Hula Girl and art-themed Palette 22.
