Patrick O'Connell, chef and owner of the Inn at Little Washington, is opening a new restaurant on the property of The Inn at Little Washington.
In a Q&A with Northern Virginia Magazine, the chef shared some details about The Black Swan Tavern, which will open at the Inn and Little Washington inside a former tavern from 1740. The casual lunch spot will be an alternative to the inn's fine dining restaurant, and is scheduled to open this summer.
O'Connell also discussed his new design book, The Inn at Little Washington: A Magnificent Obsession, which tells the story of the building's architecture and interior design. The chef is also currently working on a memoir.
