Hill Country Barbecue will serve up smoked turkey, sausages and more at its new pop-up stand near Nats Park this summer.
The barbecue restaurant will debut The Home Stand at 1244 S. Capitol St. SE. UPDATE: Opening day has been set for Sunday.
This will replace the restaurant's Backyard Barbecue at the National Building Museum, which isn't happening this summer.
There's room for 200 at the new pop-up, and they'll have a rotating set of options. Some of the dishes will include a chopped beef brisket sandwich, a pit smoked turkey sandwich, hot link sausage, a daily Pitmaster special and sides like baked beans and pasta salad. They'll add beer and wine eventually as well.
The Home Stand will open two hours before and after games on home game days.
