Mosaic District gets a new addition from chef John Critchley and Rappannock's Travis Croxton today: it's opening day for Brine, the new oyster bar and restaurant.
Natural woods and hanging lights surround the space, which has huge ceilings and a big central bar. Seafood is a main focus, but Critchley will also prepare wood-fired meats and showcase various Mid-Atlantic producers. Jo-Jo Valenzuela is handling the beverage program. Doors will open at 5 p.m. today with a prosecco toast.
