The Mayflower Hotel in D.C. is being rebranded as part of Marriott International's Autograph collection of boutique hotels.

Most of the changes to the property are on the hotel side of things: it's dropping "Renaissance" from its name (it's now just The Mayflower) and will undergo a $20 million room renovation.

The hotel's restaurant, Edgar Bar + Kitchen, which opened in 2012, will remain, despite the changes. But according to a rep, Edgar will add a new grab-and-go breakfast option for hotel guests called Mayflower Mornings by Edgar which will offer items like the restaurant's banana bread.

The changes go into effect July 1.
