Pizzeria Vetri's plans to expand to D.C. look like they're becoming more of a reality. Philadelphia blog Billy Penn interviews the company about its expansion plans, and the report includes some D.C. specifics:
[Partner Jeff] Benjamin has been attempting to secure DC leases for months, but only just recently did he make it to real negotiations there. If things work out, the first DC Pizzeria Vetri will open at 14th and Florida Ave. NW, possibly in the first quarter of 2016. A second area location is being worked on for Bethesda. [BP]
The popular Philly pizza restaurant from chef Marc Vetri revealed plans to eventually come here last fall. Eater has reached out to the Vetri team for any additional information.
