Ted's Bulletin Waitress Picks Up the Tab; Second State Temporarily Closed

CAPITOL HILL— A reader tells Tom Sietsema of the Washington Post that a Ted's Bulletin waitress recently paid their tab to congratulate her husband on becoming an American citizen. They were celebrating there after the ceremony. [WaPo]

FARRAGUT WEST— Second State is currently closed. The restaurant said on Twitter that the closure is due to "ongoing maintenance issues." Eater has reached out to clarify that the closure is, in fact, temporary. [Twitter]

DEL RAY— The couple behind the Cafe Pizziaolo restaurants is buying St. Elmo's Coffee Pub from current owner Nora Partlow. Del Ray Patch reports that no drastic changes are planned for the neighborhood spot right now. [Patch]
