It looks like former Poste and Cork chef Rob Weland could be coming to Barracks Row.
Capitol Hill Corner reports the chef will open up a restaurant at 524 8th St. SE, where Tash used to be. No sources for the report, though, are cited.
Capitol Hill Corner reports the restaurant will be contemporary American. Eater was unable to reach Weland.
It's been a big week for potential Barracks Row projects. Neighborhood Restaurant Group is opening up a place there, too.
UPDATE: Though they said years ago they'd love to team up with Weland on a future project, a spokeswoman for Cork confirms owners Khalid Pitts and Diane Gross are not involved with this one. The owners have been working to expand Cork Market's catering options, she said, as well as looking at opportunities in other neighborhoods.
