D.C. diners who can manage to sneak out of work before 5 p.m. will get to taste a unique new menu at DBGB Kitchen + Bar: it's called DBGB Family Meal.

This isn't the traditional "family meal" that workers at the restaurant eat before shift. Here, all staffers at DBGB get the chance to pitch chef Ed Scarpone on dishes for the offering. The dishes change weekly and are available all night long the bar, lounge and patio.

The new menu kicks off this week with items like BBQ spiced roasted peanuts, fried shishito peppers, fried matzo balls, sweetbread tacos and a Japanese pork katsu sub. Each staffer gets his or her name next to the dish they created ($4-$11). There are drink specials available from 3-5 p.m. as well.
