1) PENN QUARTER: Swanky New York transplant Fig & Olive opens its doors tonight. The restaurant, a huge one at 10,000 square feet with a pig patio, cooks all of its food in olive oil (no butter allowed). Find it at CityCenterDC. Here's a tour of the space. 2) COLUMBIA HEIGHTS: Heat Da Spot is a coffee shop with an Ethopian buffet on Sundays. It will debut Sunday. New Columbia Heights says they will do the traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony there, too. Status: Opening Sunday. 3213 Georgia Ave. NWwebsite.

3) SHAW: Rito Loco's brick and mortar shop is officially open. Expect similar fare to the popular burrito food truck. Here's a look inside the space. Status: Open. 606 Florida Ave. NWwebsite.
