The chef has revamped the menu to offer both traditional tavern dishes and healthier options. There are local beers, burgers, crab cakes and more. Plans for the chef to take over were announced in February. Formerly The Tavern at River Falls, it's now called simply "River Falls Tavern."

The change comes as Wiedmaier revealed plans to transition the Kentlands location of Brasserie Beck into Boulevard Tavern. Chef Brian McBride and Matt Newland were responsible for remaking the menus of the sister restaurants.
