Beard Papas Could Open by Late August in Georgetown

Beard Papas could arrive in D.C. before summer is open.

A spokesperson for the international chain tells Eater that the current aim is to open by late August. Beard Papas is opening its first area location at 1336 Wisconsin Ave. NW.

The company, which has a cult following for its pastries, made an appearance this year at the Sakura Matsuri street festival during Cherry Blossom season to help introduce its products to D.C. customers. It has a U.S. presence in other areas of the country such as California.
