What: The annual craft beer festival takes over D.C. this weekend. Expect more than 70 breweries at the event. There are also plenty of related beer events around town for those without a ticket (prices vary but some general admission days are sold out). More here.
2) The Rammys
Where: Walter E. Washington Convention Center
When: Sunday at 5 p.m.
What: D.C.'s annual restaurant industry awards will recognize the hottest new restaurant, the best chef of the year and more. There is an open bar, live music and plenty of food, too. Online ticket sales are closed but folks can still contact the RAMW association directly, according to the website.
3) Union Market drive-in debuts
Where: Union Market
When: Friday at 6 p.m. (movie starts at 8).
What: The destination's popular summer drive-in series begins with "Space Jam," and features food and drink vendors from the market selling snacks. The event is free for bikers and walkers and parking fee is $10. More here.
4) Late Night Crawfish Party
Where: Daikaya (705 6th St.NW)
When: Starting at 11 p.m.
What: This late night crawfish boil will feature New Orleans drinks, frozen cocktails and of course, crawfish.
5) Cashion's Decades of Cocktail's Night
Where: Cashion's Eat Place (1819 Columbia road)
When: Sunday Nights, starting at 10 p.m.
What: Cashion's will hold several nights where cocktails pay tribute to a certain decade. Up first is the 1960s, with guest bartenders, nostalgic snacks and more.
