Smokehouse Live is now open in The Village at Leesburg. The 16,000-square foot barbecue joint is a shared venture between veteran restaurateurs Kris Diemar and Jim Foss (Diemar has worked for Bond 45 and Carmine's; Foss is a Hill Country veteran).
There's a huge selection of meats smoked over white oak wood for up to 15 hours in smokers that hold up to 2,500 pounds of meat. Expect brisket, pulled pork, spare ribs, pork belly, turkey, chicken, sausages and more served with four different sauces representing barbecue regions across the country. Sides include Brunswick stew, mac n' cheese and deviled eggs.
The massive space is divided into a marketplace and main dining room, a full-service bar area and a live music venue. The bar features several local brews, cocktails and wine. The restaurant also offers a Southern brunch buffet on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. for $19.95.
