José Andrés' Pepe Food Truck at Nationals Park; More Details on Tim Ma's New Restaurant

Plus, there are two Sharknando viewing parties on Wednesday.


NAVY YARD José Andrés’ Pepe Food Truck will now be at Nationals Park for select baseball games. It's serving flauta sandwiches filled with Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, or the Fútbol Club Barcelona filled with sliced chicken breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato and peppers. [EaterWire]

SHAWWashington Post reports more details on chef Tim Ma's upcoming restaurant in the Shay building. It will be named Freehand, and he describes it as "a French-Asian bistro." Ma and his wife and co-owner Joey Hernandez are also stepping away from one of their other restaurants, Maple Ave in Vienna. [WaPo]

SHARKNANDO At least two local bars are having Sharknando watch parties this Wednesday, July 22. Starting at 8:30 p.m., Ventnor in Adams Morgan will have drink specials, giveaways and menu items like Shark Tacos and Spicy Shark Skewers (they don't contain actual shark meat).
