The Garrison's Design Reminds You of Its Garden Influences

New, 3 comments

Rob Weland is back.

Rob Weland now has his own restaurant, The Garrison, and the new place reflects his commitment to farm-fresh vegetables, even in the restaurant's design.

The Garrison, which opens tonight, features dishes like tomato gazpacho with mustard ice cream and a dandelion and peach-spiked burrata. Pastas, fish and roasted meet will also be a focus. Weland has teamed up with One Acre Farm to supply The Garrison's produce. Even the cocktail menu, from Gina Chersevani, has a garden bent, with drinks featuring preserved vegetables and herbs.

Mara Home consulted on the design, which features preserved fruits and vegetables on the tables and shelving around the kitchen. There are also some modern design touches like subway tiles. Wooden tables, booths and wall fixtures are contrasted with patterned pillows.
