Travis Hearne IN at L'Enfant Cafe

A new menu features dishes like mini banh mi bites.

Travis Hearne is the new chef overseeing L'Enfant Cafe — as well as a second restaurant the owners will open in the fall.

Dishes on the new menu include a soft shell BLT, salmon with cucumber salad, lamb lollipops and mini banh mi bites. The restaurant is launching its first happy hour from 5:30-7:30 p.m. as well, with specials on bubbly, beers and highballs. The chef's resume includes time spent at The Inn at Little Washington and with Passion Food Group.

Details on the new project were limited, but it will open around the block from L'Enfant in Adams Morgan in the fall.

The restaurant is offering a reopening three course, prix fixe deal the week of Aug. 2 for $26.10 — L'Enfant's birthday week.
