Farmers Restaurant Group, the company behind Founding Farmers and Farmers Fishers Bakers, has signed a lease for a new restaurant.
Farmers & Distillers will open in fall of 2016 at 600 Massachusetts Ave. NW. The $7 million restaurant will be 12,000 square feet in size, with room for 300 people. There will be an onsite distillery inspired by George Washington and overseen by Rick Wasmund of Copper Fox Distillery, as well as beverage director Jon Arroyo.
The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch. They're still developing the menu, but it will be farm-to-table inspired like the company's other restaurants. Grizform Design Architects is designing the space.
