The Chesapeake Room is closed for renovations. A sign on the door promises a new menu of "modern Southern cuisine" and "an exciting new cocktail and wine list" when it reopens.

Eater reached out for more details, but there's no word yet on the reopening date. According to Facebook, the restaurant just completed a renovation about two years ago.

Last year, there were legal battles over the Chesapeake Room and its related restaurants Hawk 'N' Dove and Senart's Oyster & Chop House after restaurant group Barracks Row Entertainment filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection.
