The restaurant was supposed to open this summer.

Construction is moving along at Fare Well, according to Facebook. Doron Petersan's new vegan bistro was originally aiming for a summer opening at 406 H St. NE, but it looks like the build-out didn't officially begin until late last month. A fall opening is planned.

Fare Well will be the follow-up to Petersan's popular vegan bakery Sticky Fingers. Earlier this year, she told Eater the new diner-style bakery, bar and bistro will make their own pastas and breads. There will also be quiches, frittatas, balkava, calzones, pizzas, empanadas, homemade ice cream and more.  The restaurant will also serve beers and wines on tap and cocktails from the W's Joey Ambrose.
