Another Philz Coffee On the Way — This One to Navy Yard

San Francisco coffee company Philz is poised to enter the D.C. market soon, and today brings word of another location for the chain.

Philz is slated to open at The Yards development in the new Arris building, according to a press release from developer Forest City. The opening will come sometime next spring. The store will be about 2,400 square feet in size. It's the first retail tenant announced for the building. The timing works out well for The Yards development, which lost a coffee shop option when Buzz Bakery converted into a bottle shop for brewery Bluejacket this year.

Philz is also opening a location in Adams Morgan.
