This week is Restaurant Week in D.C., which means tons of restaurants around town will be offering special prix fixe menus at a discounted price for diners to enjoy.

But what about diners who wish to avoid the promotion, whether they're ducking crowds, averse to prix fixe menus or have other concerns about the deal?
