No one can say Ashok Bajaj doesn't invest in his restaurants.
Just weeks after the original location of Rasika underwent a $500,000 makeover, the restaurateur has announced a revamp for 701, his classic Penn Quarter restaurant.
Designer Martin Vahtra, who also designed Rasika West End, will redo the restaurant. A new 30-seat private dining room will be added, and there will be other updates to the restaurant's interior. Think new paint colors and wall coverings, as well as new lighting, banquettes, tables, carpeting and artwork. The investment will be between $400,000 and $500,000, according to a spokeswoman.
701 will close for five days, beginning Aug. 30, to undergo the changes.
