2) Dueling Restaurant Weeks

What: D.C.'s Restaurant Week is wrapping up, while Alexandria's Restaurant Week is just getting started.

Where: Participating restaurants.

When: D.C.'s ends Sunday while Alexandria's begins Friday.

3) Gluten-free grilled cheese

What: Chef Jilly Lagasse is taking over the Big Cheese food truck at Truckeroo.

Where: Truckeroo by Nats Stadium

When: Friday beginning at 11 a.m.

4) Republic Kolache's debut

What: The Texas pastry makers kick off their weekend pop-up on Saturday.

Where: American Ice Company

When: Saturday at 10 a.m.

5) Lambrusco Week continues

What: Neighborhood Restaurant Group salutes the sparkling red wine. The Partisan has a lambrusco menu (plus a tasting on Friday from 5-7 p.m.), while B-Side has lambrusco flights and Red Apron has a lambrusco sausage combo.

Where: The Partisan, Red Apron B-Side

When: Through Sunday.
