The Chesapeake Room Reopens Friday with More of a Southern Menu

They renovated, too.

The Chesapeake Room will reopen Friday with a new menu and changes to its interior.

The food will now have more of a Southern focus, courtesy of chef Scott Robison, who recently worked at Evening Star Cafe. Dishes will include heirloom grains, local catfish and other seasonal ingredients. They'll have Southern-influenced cocktails, too, as well as a new late night menu. Still to come: A Sunday Southern Rock Supper with whiskey, beer and fried chicken.

The restaurant now has fresh paint, new mirrors and updated lighting to create a warmer look, according to a spokeswoman. Their popular fish tank remains. The restaurant closed for renovations in early July.
