Dunn Loring is poised to get several new restaurant openings, courtesy of development surrounding the metro.
The Shops of Avenir Place are showing several "coming soon" sign for restaurants, including Thai restaurant Thai By Thai, fast-casual Indian spot Spice 6, pizza place Arosto's (which looks close to completion), and an outpost of kabob house Moby Dick's. The development already hosts a Jersey Mike's Subs and a District Taco, among other retail options.
Also slated for the site: a location of Adams Morgan bar The Black Squirrel. A spokeswoman for the bar tells Eater they're getting a site planned approved, and could be open by next spring. "We're really excited to be going to Northern Virginia. It's been in the works for a couple of years, and we're anxious to get open," she said.
A site plan for the property also lists several other restaurants, including a Smashburger.
