Sloppy Mama's is raising money to help get its popular barbecue truck back on the streets after a fire.
The company's looking to raise about $16,000 through a Kickstarter campaign. They received some money from insurance, but not enough to cover their losses. A successful campaign could put them back on the road in late August. The fundraising page is here. They're going to do a launch party at Solly's Sunday at noon featuring a brisket brunch to get things going, according to owner Joe Neuman.
The truck caught fire earlier this summer on the way back from an event. The company was still able to hold some catering events and open its first brick and mortar location in Chantilly. But getting the truck fixed has been the bigger challenge.
