The Prospect, the new sports bar that replaced Ulah Bistro, gives the diner a few clues on what to expect from it with its decor. There are sports articles, posters and bowling pins lining the walls, televisions everywhere, skateboards in the bathroom and a pile of baseball mitts inside the place.
From the team that recently opened Provision No. 14, The Prospect is a tribute of sorts to co-owner Mike Bramson's father, who was a sports star at the University of Maryland and recently passed away. They'll be serving some fancy stadium food items there, like homemade Cracker Jacks, goat nachos, and "hog wings", plus some other interesting items like pupusas and Spanish tortilla for brunch. Find it at 1214 U St. NW.
