Faryab Restaurant has been closed for about a month, and does not look to be reopening anytime soon.

Bethesda Magazine reports two different signs have appeared on the doors over the past couple weeks, first citing vacation and remodeling, and then renovations "until further notice." There does not appear to be any work being done at the building, though. Phone calls to the location by Eater went unanswered, with a generic recording that does not accept voicemail messages. There is no notice explaining the closure on the restaurant's website.

The restaurant has served traditional Afghan food at 4917 Cordell Ave. for more than a decade.
