Garrison Launches Sunday Brunch; The Pope Plans Lunch with D.C.'s Homeless

Plus, Lebanese Taverna now does catering.

CAPITOL HILL— Garrison will offer Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting September 27. Menu items will include housemade duck sausage with thyme biscuits and gougères with soft scrambled eggs, smoked trout, caviar and crème fraîche. They'll have brunch cocktails, too. DOWNTOWN— Washington City Paper reports Pope Francis will share a meal with 300 of the city's homeless residents during his visit on Thursday. He'll bless a meal of teriyaki chicken breast, Asian pasta salad an steamed green beans and carrots outside St. Patrick's Church on G Street NW. [WCP]
