Chef Liu Chaosheng is planning to open a high-end restaurant in Rockville, according to Rockville Nights.
He's negotiated a lease with the owner of the vacated Kam Sam Supermarket space at 300 N. Washington Street. He told the blog the new restaurant will have a white tablecloth dining room.
The chef has been cooking Chinese food for over 30 years. Chaosheng already has another restaurant, China Jade, in Rockville and three others (Mala Tang, Hong Kong Palace and Uncle Liu's Hot Pot) in Northern Virginia. His Sichuan cooking, which he mastered in China, is widely considered some of the best in the area.
