Red's Table opened over the long weekend in Reston. Several diners reported first experiences dining there, praising the patio, beer selection, lake views and romantic ambiance.

Eater has reached out to the restaurant via phone and email for more information. An opening menu shows such dishes as chicken and dumplings, clam bucatini, lamb roulade and a dry-aged burger. The menu is generally more ambitious than the typical family-friendly fare that tends to open around Reston Town Center. There's also a raw bar.

UPDATE: A manager says they'll have dinner and happy hour at Red Table starting at 4 p.m. but lunch service won't begin until Sept. 28. Weekend brunch service will follow eventually.

Red's Table is owned by three brothers who grew up in the area; Adam Stein is the chef. Status: Certified open. 11150 South Lakes Drive, Reston, Va.; website.
