This week is Restaurant Week in D.C., which means tons of restaurants around town will be offering special prix fixe menus at a discounted price for diners to enjoy. Snow issues have kept a few places from participating, so those interested in the deals should keep an eye on RAMW's website for any changes.
But what about diners who wish to avoid the promotion, whether they're ducking crowds, averse to prix fixe menus or have other concerns about the deal? Here's a list of more than 50 new, interesting or reliable places which are not participating in the official Restaurant Week (though some may have competing deals of their own), conveniently organized by neighborhood.
Restaurant Week lovers and haters alike should all think about supporting local restaurants this week, especially after so many have been financially hit by last weekend's blizzard.
